About the Service
The AWHE Career Center is a service staffed by
professionals who are trained to help college
students make the transition from school to career,
regardless of their current level of preparation or
stage in life.
The goal of the AWHE Career Center is to assist
college students of any age to develop their skills;
recognize their accomplishments; review their
academic, volunteer, and professional relationships;
and build their professional reputation — all with the
goal of finding fulfilling employment.
The AWHE Career Center provides students with
eight 30-minute sessions, a total of four hours of
coaching, to be used within one semester. This
service can be renewed at a nominal cost.

Qualified Career Coaches
are available to help students:
Adjust to their freshman year:
- Enhance study skills
- Increase organizational skills
- Get help with goal planning
- Review their résumé for work-study positions
Plan for the future:
- Choose a major
- Assess their career readiness
- Initiate a career plan
- Develop market research for future careers
- Review their résumé for volunteer and internship positions
Land their dream job:
- Assess their career options
- Review their résumé
- Participate in mock interviews
- Develop networking & relationship-
building skills
- Review their portfolio (for Education majors)
