Submission Guidelines
Participating schools and departments will be responsible for taping their own content. Those tapes along with all necessary forms should be turned over to the Pearson Custom Publishing editor or Pearson representative. Please contact your Pearson representative for complete details.
A submission will only be considered complete if it includes the following components:
Video tapes or discs of student speeches
Currently we can only accept the following formats: (in order of preference)
- MiniDV (preferred)
- Digital8
- Hi-8
- 12cm DVD and/or DVD-R
- SVHS
- VHS-C
- VHS
We cannot accept any high-end professional formats such as Beta SP, Digital Betacam, DVCAM or DVCPro.
Permission Release Forms for each speaker
Each speech submitted to Pearson Higher Education and Pearson Custom Publishing must be accompanied by a reproduction rights form signed by the speaker. These forms grant Pearson Education permission to reproduce individual speeches in Custom Speeches web sites and other online and physical media products. (right-click to save target as)

Video log form
The contents of each video tape or disc provided to Pearson Higher Education and Pearson Custom Publishing must be detailed on the video log form. This form must be filled out in it's entirety in order to ensure accurate processing of your materials. (right-click to save target as)

Menu log form
The Custom Speeches video player allows us to create a personalized speech menu for you. You can designate a unique name for each speech and organize them into categories to make it easier for you and your students to navigate the speeches.
Our developers will use this menu log form to create the media player portion of your Custom Speeches site to best meet your teaching needs. (right-click to save target as)
