Part 3: Neurotransmitters and Behavior
As we have seen in Part 1 and Part 2 of this activity, neurotransmitters play a key role in our neural communication. They are the chemicals responsible for most communication at the synapse. Neurotransmitters are released into the synapse to bind to receptor sites on the postsynaptic neuron and influence whether that neuron will fire. Let's review how this process works. |
