Peer support interventions, such as the peer buddy program, are designed to create caring climates in schools in which all students are equal, visible, and participating members; increase access to the general education curriculum and achievement of high standards by all students; and provide opportunities for teachers to collaborate with each other. Although core goals are common across peer support programs, there are variations in how programs are designed and implemented across schools. Below are links to active peer support programs being implemented in elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the country. If you are aware of an existing peer support program, let us know about it by sending us an e-mail.
