Assignment Ideas

Mastering word processing skills takes practice and reinforcement. The authors use three types of assignments when teaching these concepts.

1. An initial set of "paragraph" assignments that serve as practice of new ideas.
2. All work turned in after these initial "paragraph" assignments that use a word processor is evalutated for correct use of the word processor.
3. A final set of assignments focuses on using more advanced word processing skills and design skills to produce a publication such as a newsletter or brochure.
